Many fun-filled and educational activities for students, families and the community.

THURSDAY APRIL 8, 2010

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

4 to 4:30: Welcoming Ceremony in front of Setauket School with a performance by the student Orchestra, Chorus and Band and a short monologue presentation.

4:30 to 6:00: Activities on the front lawn, Auditorium and Gymnasium will incorporate the history of cooking, growing, processing, transporting, hunting and fishing in the local area. These activities initially provided the foods necessary for survival and progressed to support the economy and the population. Food gathering, storing, preparation and cooking will be demonstrated. Many hands on activities. Tour of the Auditorium Vance Locke murals with costumed student interpreters.

April 10 “Walk Through History with Abraham Woodhull” conducted by Beverly Tyler. Meet at the Caroline Church Carriage Shed, Village Green at 10:25 am.

April 11 3VHS “Setauket Village Green Walking Tour”. Meet at the Setauket Neighborhood House at 1:55 pm

April 14 George Washington on Long Island. Presenter: Elizabeth Kaplan at the Emma Clark Library 7pm

April 16 Baroque music concert at the Caroline Church, Setauket at 7:00 pm
